Blunier Builders

Blunier Builders – Integrity and Trust for a Stress Free Building Process

Blunier Builders, Inc. started out as a five-man construction company back in 2002. This family-owned and operated firm has grown by leaps and bounds since its humble beginnings. Blunier Builders started out with family goals in mind. It was established to give an opportunity to multiple generations of the Blunier family to work together during the off-season of their farm. They provided high-quality construction services around their area.

The company has since then seen explosive growth. The company now has more than 50 employees working on various projects all over the state of Illinois. They also provide snow removal service during the winter months. Because the company was established as a family business, you can expect it to have strong values as they aim to gain the trust of all their clients.

Their Own System

One of the things that Blunier Builders realized early on is that the traditional method of placing posts on the ground. They developed their very own system which utilizes concrete piers and steel brackets to keep the wooden posts out of the ground. This system reduces the risk of post rot, which is a major problem in some buildings.

Not satisfied with the system that they developed, Blunier Builders took it even further by using stainless steel brackets instead of hot-dipped galvanized steel brackets. That gives the buildings they construct with longer use life, a benefit that their owners can appreciate.

It’s easy to see why the firm has become a top choice for post-frame building construction in Illinois when you see the values they foster:

  • Hard work
  • Integrity
  • Humility
  • Providing high-quality work
  • Treating everyone like family

That last value plays a bigger role in the success of the firm than any other factor. When you treat someone like family, you are looking out for them. You want what’s best for them. That is exactly what Blunier Builders is offering to their clients.

Building Types

Blunier Builders handles several types of projects. These projects are classified under the following categories:

  • Agriculture
  • Commercial
  • Suburban
  • Repairs

The agriculture building projects by Blunier Builders can be further classified under their various uses. Here are the main classifications:

  1. Farm shops are multi-purpose structures that can be used as storage for all the equipment but more importantly, they provide spaces for repairing equipment.
  2. Machine storage buildings are spaces where all the farm equipment can be kept safe.
  3. Agricultural business or livestock structures are buildings that can be used running agricultural businesses.
  4. Equine buildings are mainly stables.

These agricultural buildings require skill and experience when it comes to construction both of which Blunier Builders has in abundance. Their construction crews are all familiar with the latest construction techniques.

Blunier Builders has also gained considerable experience in erecting commercial buildings of different types. Different types of commercial buildings have different requirements and they know how to deliver.

Buildings for offices for example would require special features to make work feasible. Commercial spaces must be spacious and should allow easy access for the delivery of items. Warehouses on the other hand would also require a large amount of open space for storing large quantities of products.

Municipal buildings would also fall under the business category. These types of structures also require plenty of features that would make the municipal offices function well.

Projects under the suburban category include garages, homes, workshops, and cabins.

Constructing a residential place might seem straightforward and easier when compared to building a commercial space but that’s a mistake some firms make. The result is that they build homes that don’t offer comfort or coziness. They’re too focused on the utilitarian features of a building.

That’s because they’re so used to building commercial structures that they forget that people will be using those homes most of the time. Blunier Builders has not lost sight of that fact and that’s why they have built very comfortable residences.

They can also work on custom garages. While these are simple structures, some homeowners require customization to fit their vehicles or maybe include a workshop. Blunier Builders has worked on numerous garages and other similar structures.

Blunier Builders not only handles new construction but also repairs of existing structures. They can take on an existing structure and make it better and stronger through the use of the construction techniques that they have developed and improved over the years.

They can handle repair projects like:

  • Re-steeling a shed
  • Reskinning a building
  • Replacing gutters
  • Replacing doorways

They can work on fixing existing pole barns and give them a modern update.

Blunier Builders, Inc. started out as a family business and they have not lost sight of that. They treat all of their clients like they are family. That is one of the reasons why the firm has become quite popular among industry insiders and homeowners.
